“Pandora’s Tuck”

2018

Acrylic on Sketchbook Paper Cover 8.25” x 10.5”

A study on Odilon Redon’s “Pandora” (1914) the piece reimagines a life wherein  trans bodies were included in various art movements dating back to the Renaissance period, and how this would have lent a more kaleidoscopic view of what the LGBTQIA+ community could look like today. This reimagination is especially impactful for filling in the gaps of the period in time where the cleansing of trans and gender non-conforming people through colonization and imperialism prevailed.
