About The Artist
Dominique V. Castelano
is a Philippine-born performing and visual artist of trans experience, her creative journey delves into themes of gender, identity, belonging, and migration. You may recognize her from her role as “Midnight” in Pose on FX and as the face of Marc Jacobs’ Heaven campaign launch. Since moving to New York City in 2017, she has pursued an active career in the arts, expressing herself through drawings, paintings, digital art, photography, sculpture, and film, often integrating her body into performances. Her work, “Impressionique I,” placed as the first runner-up in the Stonewall Painting Contest hosted by Trans Tech Social and has been a recipient of various fellowship programs and artist grants. Through her art, she aims to spark understanding, healing, and meaningful dialogues about human complexities while addressing historical injustices inflicted upon trans and gender non-conforming individuals through colonization and imperialism.
